'Quintessential new wave, new wonk circus. Experimental, physical, fashionable, and satirical work by Inka and Imogen.'
Yes Person is a circus show that celebrates ideas too peculiar to live—but too fabulous to die. Inspired by the concept of "killing one’s darlings," the creative process of discarding beloved but unfit ideas, this performance breathes new life into those very darlings. Embracing the rule of ‘yes-saying’ in devising quickly leads to an expansive wasteland of ideas. From the dregs of their old creative processes—the sediment of ideas left behind, too mismatched, ambitious, or nonsensical to fit into past creations—comes a performance that gives these discarded concepts a second chance to flourish, expand, and spiral out of control.

Anke Politz remarked that they are undoubtedly the poster girls of new wave, new wonk circus — and one watch of Yes Person, their second show together, quickly dispels two myths. First, they’re far more than a one-hit wonder… and second, they can still do circus — brilliantly. With high level technique, inventive energy, and cross-disciplinary action one can’t help but think they are aging well. she went on to say that now they are kinda cool, kinda scandalous, but in the early 1980’s it was a different story. They weren’t even born.
